

I know a lot of people are adamantly in favor of getting rid of the cheesy elements baton pass brings to the game but I think it's important that we get a consensus on that on the forums as it may just be a sample bias. I think before we delve in to this it's worth discussing whether these bans are warranted in the first place which I don't believe has really been done in a transparent completely public setting on the forums so far. The downside to that ruling is that it isn't explicitly obvious to players unfamiliar with the metagame what it is meant to achieve I think the current rules do that better, however they're insufficient at the job they've been designed for. Eliminates DrumPass, Fullpass and most variants on it, as well as a wider slew of gimmicks. My personal preference is a ban of Baton Pass on Smeargle and Mr.

In reviewing the rules, I think our goal should be to establish roughly what it is that we actually want to eliminate and focus our bans on that.
